Playa del Amor sits entirely inside a collapsed volcanic crater. CONANP heavily restricts access to protect the ecosystem. Only 116 people can enter the crater each day.

The beach is completely closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. You must book an authorized tour with a specific permit to enter. Wear a swimsuit under your clothes and bring a waterproof camera.
